During your walking your movement originates from your core, strengthening your core musles with each step. Difficulties with walking are not often because of lack of strength but because of muscle tightness and tension that restricts movement. ChiWalking® emphasizes allowing areas to relax, so your walking will be more fluid and flexible. So moving with an inner strength will give you a sense of balance and grace in your walking as well as your way of life.

Mental: ChiWalking® is a mindful way of walking.The interesting thing about the mind is that focusing it actually allows it to rest because it is not thinking of a hundred things at once. That's why mediation quiets and rest the mind. When you can narrow your thoughts down to just a few, it really gives your brain a break from the chaos. Then, when you come back into your everyday life you can function more clearly. Focusing the mind has the incredible dual role of both strengthening and resting the mind at the same time.
